Norwegian vicar wants to ban a pro-baptism ad because it features a farting baby
A NORWEGIAN VICAR has described an ad promoting baptism that features a farting baby as “one of the worst ways of representing the baptism ritual of the church that I have ever seen”.
Helge Helgesen is so outraged by the ad, which is currently being shown in Norwegian cinemas, that he wants it banned.
The ad features a baby with a terrifying adult voice farting and saying, “Yeah, yeah, going to get baptised” over a hip-hop beat.

A Norwegian religious organisation called Aksjon dåp (‘Baptism Aid’) is behind the sting and says the aim of the ad is to “show the richness and blessing of baptism”.
Helgesen is vehemently opposed to the ad and said that someone “has lost their mind” as it contradicts the values of the church.
The vicar was supported by PR professional Jarle Aabø who said the baby “sounded like a drunkard living under a bridge drinking methylated spirit”.
